Agreement to these Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the IceMetrics mobile application or website (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to coaches, parents, scorekeepers, team managers, players, club and league administrators, and other users.
Description of the Service
IceMetrics provides tools for live hockey scorekeeping, shot mapping, player and goalie statistics, rosters, schedules, clubs, leagues, seasons, tournaments, reports, exports, optional Cloud Sync, sharing, and Team Manager workflows such as registrations, documents, communications, calendars, finances, and volunteer hours. Core game tracking can work offline. Some features require an optional subscription.
The Android app is in development, but no release date is promised. Features and availability may differ by platform and app version.
Accounts and Sign in with Apple
You can use core local features without an account. Optional connected features may require Sign in with Apple and a PocketBase-backed account. You agree to provide accurate account information, protect access to your device and account, and take responsibility for activity under your account.
Information about players, guardians, and teams
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of information you enter. If you enter information about a minor, guardian, staff member, player, or team, you represent that you have the authority and any required permission to do so. You should collect only information necessary for legitimate team activities and handle sensitive health, contact, address, document, financial, and media information responsibly.
User content and data
You retain ownership of the hockey statistics, team information, photos, documents, and other content you enter into IceMetrics (“User Content”). You grant IceMetrics a limited right to store, transmit, process, display, and back up User Content only as needed to provide the features you choose to use, maintain the Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.
Your use of Cloud Sync and analytics is governed by the Privacy Policy. Local records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. Cloud records are associated with your account; deletion may not remove every server copy immediately.
Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
Some IceMetrics features require an optional auto-renewing subscription. Available plans, subscription duration, included features, and localized pricing are shown in the app before purchase. Apple-billed subscriptions renew until canceled and can be managed in your App Store account settings.
Cancellation takes effect according to the rules shown by Apple for your subscription and region. Refund eligibility and requests are handled under Apple’s App Store policies; IceMetrics does not directly process Apple refunds.
Acceptable use
You agree to use IceMetrics only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Violate applicable law, league rules, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or these Terms
- Enter, upload, or share information you are not authorized to manage
- Upload harmful, abusive, misleading, unlawful, or infringing content
- Attempt unauthorized access to the Service, accounts, or related systems
- Interfere with security, servers, networks, or another user’s use of the Service
- Reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where applicable law expressly allows it
IceMetrics intellectual property
The IceMetrics app, website, logo, design, software, and related content are owned by IceMetrics or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, IceMetrics grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, team, club, league, or tournament activities.
Service availability and changes
The Service may be unavailable during maintenance, updates, network outages, provider disruptions, or technical problems. IceMetrics may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. Some updates may be required for continued access, security, compatibility, or subscription features.
Disclaimers and user responsibility
IceMetrics is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, complete data retention, compatibility with every device, or accuracy of user-entered statistics. You are responsible for verifying statistics before relying on them, maintaining device and account security, keeping any backups you require, and complying with applicable laws and hockey-organization rules.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IceMetrics will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the Service, including loss of data, revenue, opportunity, or team records.
Termination
You may stop using IceMetrics at any time and may cancel active subscriptions through the applicable store. IceMetrics may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, fraud, abuse, or security risk. Local records can remain on your device after access to connected services ends. Subscription handling remains subject to the applicable store’s rules.
Disputes and general provisions
Before formal legal action, contact support@icemetrics.com and attempt to resolve the issue informally. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where IceMetrics is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be subject to binding arbitration under applicable rules.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement about the Service. IceMetrics may update these Terms; material changes may be communicated through the app, website, or email, and the updated date will identify the current version.
